Summer Sillies

August 9th, 2010 by Melinda

The heat has fried our patio flowers, our grass, and our brains. It’s been so dang hot that we’ve enjoyed chilling out in the a/c and taking quick dips in our pool. We’ve even taken up some yoga (check out our videos).

Mom had some business trips last month, which meant Dad was totally in charge. We enjoyed some Slurpee runs to 7-11 (where they know our names). We also slept late and stayed up later. We were ALL tired when Mom got home.

Summer is winding down, but we’re looking forward to sneaking in a few more trips to the pool, adventures on the slip ‘n slide, and even a trip to South Texas to hug and kiss on some loved ones. They won’t believe how big we’ve grown since they saw us last! Check out our photos and videos to see for yourself. A little silly is good for you!

Independence on Wheels

July 5th, 2010 by Melinda

We never slow down, that’s for sure! And last month was no different. We broke in the slip ‘n slide and hilarity ensued. It’s fun to be thrown across a piece of wet plastic on a hot day. Dad called it Toddler Bowling for some reason…check out the video to see why.

We also had a visit from Great Aunt Sarah. She wrapped up her Texas tour with a stop in Plano. We had a late-night pool party to celebrate her birthday (a little early) and we sang “Happy Birthday” using microphone cupcakes that Mom made.

As for our independence on wheels, we finally talked about bikes so much that Mom and Dad caved on a recent trip to Target. We are hot rodders now! Watch out on the sidewalks of Duval Drive.

And speaking of independence, we celebrated America’s independence by watching fireworks for the first time. “It’s just like on TV!” said Mason. Mom and Dad hope it was a tad better. We had glow-in-the-dark bracelets, binoculars, and ice cream. Mom and Dad even let us stay up until 11:00 that night!! They said something about paying for it the next day, but we couldn’t hear them through our yawns and squabbles. We did make the most of the long weekend though with a visit to the natural science museum and wildlife sanctuary. It was hot, but it was an adventure. We saw a butterfly garden, took a hike, and saw some robot animals. “I don’t yike the tiger,” Morgan says.

Check out the photos and videos to see us in action. Stay cool!

The Pool is OPEN!

June 5th, 2010 by Melinda

It couldn’t have come soon enough…pool time!! Our neighborhood pool has a new splash park that is perfect for us. We have been having so much fun these last few weeks. We’ve even taken a dip in the “big” pool with Mom and Dad.

We had our first snow cones and rode a train at the neighborhood pool party. We loved it so much that we ask where the snow cone machine is every time we go back. And we go back a lot..sometimes we take a morning swim and go back after dinner. We are real water tots!

Our fun isn’t limited to the pool and splash park though. We’ve also spent time dodging the sprinklers and splashing in the play pool. The slip ‘n slide is next. Watch out neighbors! We may be headed through your fence soon…

Growing and Growing

May 13th, 2010 by Melinda

Spring has sprung, and according to our 30 month check up with the baby doctor man, we’ve sprung too! Mason is 38.75 inches tall and Morgan is 36.5 inches tall. Morgan has all of her teeth, and Mason just has a few more to go. The doc said we’re pretty smart too, but we knew that already!

Not only are WE growing, but our extended family is growing too! Uncle Tom and Aunt Kelly had a baby cousin for us. Towne Olivia joined the ranks of the cutest kids in the world on April 10. We can’t wait to meet her! Mom went to visit first, and she tells us that Towne is beautiful. We’re ready to go as soon as Mom and Dad are ready to take us!

In early May, we went on a walk around a lake with Gigi and Mom. Mom was walking to raise money for a cure for skin cancer. We were all glad there were clouds on that day – especially Mom and Gigi who carrying us most of the 3.3 miles.

We also celebrated Mom the other day. Mason kept looking for a birthday cake, but Mom told him that was coming soon. It was a Mom Day and not a birthday (yet). We went to the aquarium and visited Dori, Nemo, and lots of other fish and animals. A good time was had by all!

We have plenty of photos, videos and twinterpretations posted to catch you up on our super-exciting lives. Enjoy!

South Texas Soirees, Spring Snow, and Easter Eggstravaganzas!

April 4th, 2010 by Melinda

About mid-month, we loaded up and headed south to visit lots of loved ones and help Uncle Tom and Aunt Kelly celebrate the anticipated arrival of our new baby cousin. What fun we had! We partied hard with grandparents, GREAT grandparents, aunts, uncles, GREAT aunts, GREAT uncles, cousins, and friends. It was a great time for all! We loved and were loved so very much!

Then we left the 80 degree sunny days and headed back home to await the arrival of Spring. And the first day of Spring brought….SNOW?!?! About six inches of the white stuff filled our yard overnight and we had one last hoo-rah in the cold.

And now we wrap up a fun week of Easter celebrations, from bouncing in the bounce house with other twins, triplets and quadruplets, to stopping to smell the tulips at the Dallas Arboretum’s spring event. We ran Mom and Dad all around the Arboretum today and had a blast.

Enjoy our latest twinterpretations, photos and films. Hoppy Easter!

Love Love Love

March 8th, 2010 by Melinda

We just finished up the month of love. It didn’t seem much different than other months to us. Maybe that’s because we have so much love around us all year long!

We’re getting the cabin crazies lately with the cold weather and SNOW that we have had the last couple of months. Thankfully, warmer days are coming soon. We’ve already enjoyed our first picnic of the season.

Mom and Dad laugh and laugh at the funny things we say. They added a place on our blog to keep track of some of our funny sayings. Be sure to check out “Twinterpretations” at the top of this page. Mom is afraid she’ll forget these “gems” (her word, not ours) so she set up a spot to save them.

We hope you smile at the latest set of pictures and videos. Thanks for loving us in February and all the time!

Snow Much Fun!

February 13th, 2010 by Melinda

This week we had record-breaking snow in the Dallas area – reports of up to 12 inches! Check out all of the fun we had playing, throwing snowballs, catching snowflakes and building “tall mountain” from the Dora show. We’re off to drink more cocoa and thaw out!

Brrrrr…ing on Spring!

February 6th, 2010 by Melinda

We think we might have a case of what Mom and Dad call “cabin fever.” We’re not sure what that is exactly, but we feel like we’re bouncing off the walls indoors because it has been so cold and rainy outside. We are looking forward to spring…

Last month we helped celebrate Dad’s birthday; we have been using new words like amazing, awesome and delicious; we’ve baked a few batches of cookies with Mom; we visited the bears at Baylor; and, we learned about cousins. Mom and Dad have cousins who have baby cousins like us, and Uncle Tom and Aunt Kelly are going to bring us a baby cousin in a few months. We’re excited to be the big kids!

We’ve also been “e-mailing” with our computers alot lately. (Note from Mom: they’re really calculators.) We see Mom and Dad send important e-mails, so we thought we should too. Mason likes to e-mail Cookie Monster and Batman. Morgan sticks to love notes to Mom and Dad, and an occasional message to Abby Cadabra.

We hope you enjoy the pictures and movies from the last few weeks!

Watch out 2010!

January 3rd, 2010 by Melinda

We have been partying non-stop since Thanksgiving…or maybe since our second birthday. At this rate, 2010 is in trouble! The dynamic duo of Mason and Morgan are sure to have another fabulous year.

Mom and Dad feel like we’re learning new words everyday. We surprise them with new phrases and funny sayings all the time. Mason has dropped “Mey Mey” for his sister and now calls her “Moygan.” We also love to go shopping! One of our favorite places to shop is “Toyget” (Target for those who need the translation.). Mom and Dad are just thrilled that we want to get out of our jammies. Morgan went through a phase this month where she would stay in her jammies all day long!

We had loads of fun at Christmas with visits from loved ones near and far. And we had a white Christmas! In fact, we’ve had three snow days in December! We tried to get out in the Christmas blizzard, but it wasn’t much fun. We’re not built for cold weather, and we’re thankful that we’re Texans!

Mom and Dad tell us we have more toys than the toy store, but we’re not sure we believe that. We kept the party going by ringing in the New Year with some friends and good food. We even got to stay up until 11:30!

Enjoy the pictures and new videos from the last few weeks. We look forward to another great year!
